Ripple appointed Young Sendi as the Managing Director overseeing the company’s activities in Europe in a bid to upscale mainstream adoption.
Young’s fifteen years experience in fintech will enable her expand RippleNet, the company’s financial network technology.
Young Sendi worked in MasterCard for 5 years where she participated in business development, collaborations between fintech and banks and other areas.
The general manager of RippleNet, Birla Asheesh commented on Young’s appointment saying he believes Young is a good fit for the company’s arm in Europe because she has years of experience and understands how payment works and how to upscale networking businesses.
Ripple’s interest in expanding into Europe emanated from the fact that about 25 percent of their clients are in European Countries.
The company reported that their On Demand Liquidity-ODL in Europe increased by 250 percent when compared to last year. Up till now, ODL of European countries make up 40 percent of Ripple’s total ODL transactions. The company has collaborated with financial companies all over the world and has consistently continued to grow in the aspect of adopting XRP.
When it comes to buying and selling of cryptocurrency, European countries are at the forefront because of the proper regulatory policies. Ripple continues to comply with governmental regulations in Europe to provide payment services while partnering with other firms like Lemonway, Paydek etc.
